In May 2012, I will be graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and a minor in Psychology. My main focus however, has been on pharmacy and in the Fall of 2011 I will actually be applying for early admission to pharmacy school. From there, I plan on attending the University of Tennessee: College of Pharmacy and spending nine months in Memphis to complete my first year as a pharmacy student. My first choice would be to return to Knoxville after the nine months to finish my last three years of school. I am very interested in oncology pharmacy and have thought of possibly continuing my education after receiving my Pharm.D. My ultimate dream is to work in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as an oncology pharmacist.
If not successful on my first attempt at pharmacy school, I plan on continuing to work and take classes for a full year and re-applying. Overall I just want to use my knowledge to benefit the public and to give back!
Volunteer Experience
Spring Sports Ambassador
This organization serves as hostesses to both track and baseball programs. For the track program, we must be at the track banquet to help registration, and also assist in home track meets such as the Sea Ray Relays doing tasks such as keeping indicator boards and helping in press box.
For the baseball program, we work all home baseball games doing tasks such as retrieving foul balls, picking up bats after use, ensuring umpires have enough baseballs as they desire, retrieving water for umpires, and making sure all batting equipment is put up after hitting.
This is my second year as a Spring Sports Ambassador, and I consider it an honor to be apart of this program.

N.E.A.T. Program
This nutrition program allows undergraduate students to travel to an inner city after-school program and teach kids about the importance of nutrition. Different lesson plans are given each week including a lesson and coordinating worksheets. This is such a rewarding program because you actually get to see results right before your own eyes!

Work Experience
I have or are currently working for the following employers:
Wal-mart Pharmacy(2010-Present)
New Fellowship Christian Academy (2008-2009)
I was responsible for all aspects of childcare including: feeding, napping, hygiene, and instructing Pre-K readiness skills. I also formed intimate relationships of trust and rapport with parents, co-workers, and children.
Starz Elite/Bounce House (2006-2007)
While employed at the Bounce house I helped parents to plan children's birthday parties by choosing themes, times, and activities. I also help set up decorations, gifts, and food prior to the event, and clean up afterwards. Finally, I was responsible for supervising the safety and well being of all activities during the parties.
Bruster's Real Ice cream (2005-2006)
I worked as a server/cashier at the Bruster's located on Emory Road in Powell, TN. I started at the age of 15 and worked for over a year. Not only did I gain basic knowledge about serving customers, I quickly began to realize the value of a dollar.

- answering telephones, responding to questions or requests
- Assisting customers by answering simple questions, locating items or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information.
- Receiving and storing incoming supplies, verifying quantities against invoices, checking for outdated medications in current inventory, and informing supervisors of stock needs and shortages.
- Prepacking bulk medicines, filling bottles with prescribed medications, and affixing labels
Court South (2009-2010)
(North Location)
While employed at Court South I was able to develop relationships with the gym members and their children while providing childcare during workouts. I also planned and implemented new games and activities for parent's night out and the monthly member appreciation dinner. Most of my time, however, was spent instructing children's classes involving ballet, cheerleading, tumble, aerobics, basketball, and soccer. New Fellowship Christian Academy (2008-2009)

Work Philosophy
I believe that each position I have held has better enabled me to communicate with a broader demograph. Because of my career and volunteer experiences, I have developed the necessary skills needed to help people to better their lives. It is important to set goals for one's self and to utilize all means necessary to acheive them.
I also believe that being a team player is priceless if a group of people are to work together as one. As a pharmacy technician I have had to, and continue to, work with a group of people in a very fast-paced, demanding setting under the leadership of one pharmacist. This job would not be possible if we each, as individuals, did not recognize and accomplish our own individual duties.
I have had a job since I was 15, and continue to work part-time through college while taking no less than a 14 hour class load each semester. Balancing homework, a job, sorority responsibilites, and a personal life would not be possible without impeccable time management skills.

Professional Memberships
Delta Gamma Fraternity-Gamma Alpha Chapter
I have been a member of the Delta Gamma Fraternity for 4 years and it has been a great experience. Delta Gamma has really molded me into a more outgoing and personable woman. I have been given so many rewarding opportunities to give back to the community through volunteer work and raisng money for our philanthropy, Service for Sight. Last year we raised over $50,000 for Vision Camp, which is a locally sponsored event for visually impaired children. Not only has this been a rewarding experience, but I have been able to make some friendships of a lifetime.
